The Georgia OBGyn Society’s annual conference will be held August 24 – 27 in Amelia Island, Florida at the Ritz-Carlton hotel. The meeting will include a simulation lab, educational presentations, receptions, and vendor exhibits , with leisure time to take in the beautiful sights of the island. Attendees at the meeting may receive MOC Part IV credit, AMA PRA credit, and College Cognate credit. This is an invaluable opportunity to join doctors and residents from across the state of Georgia to learn what’s new in the field of OBGyn. All details can be found in the 2017 brochure. The meeting begins Thursday with a hands-on simulation skill lab from 1:30 – 5:00 pm with pregnancy ultrasound, color doppler use for umbilical artery assessment, fetal heart assessment, and various activities to improve surgical skills.
The ABOG MOC standards now allow participation in ABOG-approved Simulation Courses to meet the annual Improvement in Medical Practice (Part IV) MOC requirement. This course has been approved to meet ABOG Improvement in Medical Practice requirements for 2017.
Doctors who attend the simulation lab in its entirety on Thursday will be eligible to apply for MOC Part IV Improvement in Medical Practice credit.
