The 2018 Prematurity Summit in Macon, GA is almost here! A save the date calendar request went out some time ago, but below is additional information and a link to registration.
The Prematurity Summit aims to inform, advance and leverage strategic partnerships towards improving birth outcomes in Georgia. This year’s summit will feature an overview of the perinatal landscape in Georgia and feature speakers who will address the health of women and infants in the state. Presentations will include information about premature birth, expansion of group prenatal care and interconception care/birth spacing efforts throughout the state.
This year’s summit is different than in years past, as we have identified five priority districts within the state with high preterm birth rates and selected medical and health professionals from those specific areas to participate in the summit.
A portion of the summit will be dedicated to obtain feedback from local medical and health professionals on current programmatic successes, challenges that prevent access to appropriate interventions, as well as additional resources needed by the community to sustain current programs and implement new ones.
We would love to have MCH committee members there. Please use this link to register if you will be attending.
